Resource Plus is a young dynamic entrepreneurial driven infrastructure and Technology company based in Lagos. The company is now seeking to recruit senior management position.

JOB TITLE: GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
REFERENCE NUMBER: GFC/001
LOCATION: Lagos

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for managing and controlling the group finance department and reporting directly to the CEO.
Responsible for ensuring that proper accounting records are maintained. Must be conversant with international Accounting Standards (IAS), Statement of Accounting Standards(SAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data and recommending changes to improve systems and financial performance.
Plan, implement and manage group CAPEX and OPEX budget and cash flow forecasts across all the operating companies.
Prepare prompt periodic financial reporting across the group, as agreed with the board and senior management.
Liaise with External Auditors, Tax authorities and other regulatory authorities.
Responsible for preparing all financial documents required to raise short term and long term project financing from international/local banks and infrastructure financing agencies
Ensure that all approved financial cost controls are implemented and adhered to across the business.
Evaluate commercial viability of projects across the group and involved in financial approval process
Drive group wide commercial negotiations with clients and suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in raising international project finance for infrastructure and PPP projects would be an advantage.
Must be commercially savvied and be able to present and communicate at board level
Must have experience of implementing and continuously improving financial controls that impact people, process and technology
Must be savvied in the use of Financial IT systems and recommend systems to the business
Must be dynamic, intelligent and have an ability to think out of the box for solutions to the groups finance requirements.
Must be able to advice the board and senior management promptly on all finance and commercial impacting issues
Must have a proven record of successfully managing company finances and assets.
Bachelor’s degree with Second class upper grade in a related field.
Must possess a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA) with at least 10 years relevant experience
MBA degree in finance will be advantageous.
