JOB TITLE: WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR
LOCATION: SDV-Ijanikin, Lagos
REPORTING TO (JOB TITLE): Warehouse Manager
TYPE OF POSITION: Permanent

JOB PURPOSE/SCOPE
To maintain safe custody and assume responsibility for Cx stock and other Cx Distribution warehouse assets.
To keep accurate records of stock at all levels and instill best practices in the operation of the warehouse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities Include:
Receiving all consignments into the warehouse through waybills and ensure products in the warehouse are properly stored to avoid damage and obsolescence
Maintaining good house keeping by ensuring the warehouse and its surroundings are kept clean and tidy
Maintaining stacking heights for each SKU and strictly following FIFO, FEFO system.
Informing Distribution Manager on stock levels and requirements to minimise stock outs in the warehouse.
Regularly carryout stock counts to ensure physical stock agrees with bin cards and that stock receipts and issues are properly documented for accountability and preparing daily stock report.
Ensuring compliance to EHS standards in the warehouse.

QUALIFICATIONS/  EXPERIENCE
Minimum of HND in Business studies or purchasing and supply or its equivalent with and 3 years cognate experience in Warehouse operations.

COMPETENCIES
The required candidate should have;
Adequate know-how of warehouse operations, stock keeping, inventory management and good understanding of the operating procedure.
Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.

JOB PURPOSE/SCOPE
To lead or manage the delivery of elements of the new products, claims and technology research & development for Nutrition Category brands in Africa, primarily Horlicks, Lucozade and Ribena, from product development brief to final product dossier, that contributes to delivering the growth requirements of the Business
To provide effective Scientific & Technical Stewardship for the Nutrition Category Business in support of the business purpose.
To lead new product development projects within the agreed programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages one or more projects in support of local plans. Exercises a wide degree of independent, technical sophistication in accomplishing assigned objectives..
Ensures all work is conducted in accordance with written procedures (e.g. Quality Management System, Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures) and regulated Health & Safety requirements and Guidelines.
Independently designs and commissions experiments and carries out scientific work with an awareness of state-of-the-art technology. Creates project plans to fit overall project objectives.

Ensures the use of Product Vision and LIMS to record the formulation, testing and specification of Nutritional Healthcare products
Defines new methodologies (including new technologies, new methods, processes or materials and assessing innovative technology and equipment to improve working practice(s)).
Ensures that agreed areas of the department are equipped, maintained and operated to standards expected by GSK
Reviews and approves Department quality documentation (including SOPs, validation protocols and reports). This may also include preparation of, or contribution to, Departmental quality documentation.
Responsible for highlighting own training needs and working with his/ her manager to develop a training plan and achieve training goals.
Responsible for training self and others in technology and laboratory responsibilities (including coaching, mentoring and elements of personal development).

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE
A PhD or MSc in a food-related science field
Minimum of 10 years experience in research and development function in the Food & Drinks manufacturing industry
Membership of a relevant professional body will be an added advantage

The Business Analyst is a important finance partnering role in the organization, working with key commercial stakeholders to drive the strategy for the business.

The role covers both Nigeria and West African markets. The role will help support the business through channel, product and customer investment analysis, as well as driving key initiatives such as working capital and profitability performance management.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES AMONGST OTHERS:

Business Management, Business Partnering and Decision Support

-Represent Finance for all decision making relating to brands

-Emulate costs through the supply chain and drive down costs

P&L management

-Responsible for the P&L for the category and its various elements – Evaluate business performance against budgets and forecasts

DISTRIBUTION MANAGER

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities amongst others:

Warehouse Management:

-Security of stocks and other sales items and supervision of stock control to ensure implementation of prevailing SOPs

-Ensures proper handling of finished products in the warehouse to reduce the incidence of damages due to mishandling

Stock Management:

-Monitor, maintain and communicate stock levels, ensuring that the right stocks are in the right place at the right time.

Customer Service: 

-Liaising with internal customers – Sales. Production. Quality. Accounts. Purchasing and Marketing as well as external customers – Transporters and Agents in order to achieve Sales/Distribution and company – wide objectives.

-Ensures prompt shipment customers (Partners and Direct Accounts) stock orders

-Track truck movement

-Provide information on stock position to the Sales Team and other interested

-Ensures that transporters deliver within the delivery lead time

Vehicle Management: 

-Recommends appointment and termination of transporters

-Ensures that registered transporters have relevant/ valid vehicles documents at all times

-Ensure that the right tonnage of vehicles are available and that loads are consolidated in the right mix to achieved optimal load factor/cost savings

-Ensures that only sound and well maintained trucks are used in consigning stocks to Partners to reduce the incidence of damages in transit

-Transport performance Assessment

Improvement:

-Constantly seeking ways of increasing efficiency and production by reducing cost in all stages of the Distribution process

-Recommends incentive scheme for distribution staff

-Develops an effective appraisal tools for distribution staff

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate must possess the following:

-BS.c – Social Science preferably MBA or MSc in Transport or may related discipline

-Professional Certificate is an advantage

-Minimum of 7 years experience in an FMCG Company with Distribution / Operational/ Logistics experience preferred
