The Youth Energy Career program is sponsored by Senator Gbenga B. Ashafa in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Lagos State Electricity Board (LSEB). The objective of this exercise is to effectively train and empower electrical energy/power operatives for employment in the Nigerian energy/power development market. 

This program is unique because unlike most short term training program the participating graduates will be trained while in actual employment as 'energy audit officers' for a period of 6 months:

Applicants must be residents of Lagos East Senatorial District. This comprises (Ikorodu, Epe, Shomolu, Kosofe and Ibeju Lekki)

First degree with a minimum grade of 2.2 qualifications in Sciences/Social Science from an accredited University or School of technology.

A degree in Electrical Engineering will be an added advantage
